If the process was less tedious and time consuming it would be MUCH better. I believe the financial industry and many who are employed in the sector should get over themselves re: the unending parade of paperwork and add on fees that are associated with it. Your goals should be to streamline the process, make it more efficient and adopt rules that focus more on protecting the consumer than the banks, insurance companies, etc. You know, the entities that could actually afford to deal with fraud more than an individual consumer. Why don’t you lobby for that next time you open your wallet to put cash into a politician’s pocket? The corporate American financial industry sucks and you made a choice to be a part of it. It would be nice if you played a conscientious role in fixing it instead of allowing it to become what it has or worse. I doubt I’ll ever be excited about the home purchase process. I’ll just be relieved when it’s over.
